A new client comes to Angel Investigations, but finding Wesley there, not Angel, he decides to leave. Meanwhile, Angel and Gunn are preparing to storm Wolfram and Hart, but fortunately Wesley and Cordelia arrive in time to stop them. Angel goes to Caratos, and speaks with the host. Angel is sent to visit a swami to help bring him back on the right path. Back at Angel Investigations however, another client arrives looking for Angel, and holds Cordelia at gun point.

To save Cordelia, Wesley pretends to be Angel. He gets taken at gunpoint to the client's boss, a powerful man with a hand in wizardry, Magnus, and here he is given an objective - to protect Virginia, his daughter.

Angel goes to meet the T'ish Magev, and begins to open up to the man, but we learn that this swami is merely a diversion to keep Angel away, and that the real swami has been replaced. Wesley however is living up to Angel's reputation, and saving Virginia's life, but also getting rather close, something Angel wouldn't be able to do.

Angel discovers the truth about the swami when Gunn comes to find Angel. He then heads back to find Wesley and Cordelia. However, they are having problems as Magnus tries to sacrifice Virginia to the goddess Yeska. This doesn't go quite to plan though when Virginia turns out to be "impure", (thanks to Welsey and a few others it seems).

With the sacrifice incomplete, Angel arrives, and together with Wesley, Cordelia and Gunn, stops the evil wizard, and prevents any further attempts at the sacrifice.
