Angel takes Fred out for ice cream, but they encounter a demon that rarely visits the surface. Angel sends Fred home, whilst staying on to defeat the demon. When Fred gets back to the hotel, she finds he parents there. They had hired a private detective, and tracked her to Angel Investigations. Fred runs away, afraid of confronting the truth about the last five years.

Angel returns to the hotel, and after and awkward conversation explaining the servered head Angel was carrying, the group head off to find Fred. They meet The Host, who points them in the right direction, however, when they do so, she is not alone.

A large demon they encounter attacks them all, but is eventually disposed of using a large bus. This is not the end though. After Fred decides to leave with her parents and accept what has happened, she figures out the mystery and returns to the hotel in a rush.

We then see the hotel under attack from more of those large demons. Fred though, knows what to do. They are after their offspring, who are hatching within the severed head of the demon from earlier. With their offspring returned the species leave peacefully, but Fred doesn't realising her mission is the same as Angel Investigations.
