Cordelia, Gunn and Wesley, now seperated from Angel, deal with a vision containing a large demon, whilst Angel "accidentally" bumps into a girl from a charity home. Angel already knows of her connection to Wolfram and Hart, but then goes to interrogate Merl for more information. Meanwhile, a new demon arrives in town, and traces Angel via Merl. First though, this demon, Boon, goes to Wolfram and Hart, telling them he has a score to settle with Angel, to see who's better.

Back at the charity home though, Angel feels guilty for stalking the woman, so tells her everything. At that moment though, Lindsey arrives with Boon. Lindsey plays the role of protector whilst Boon fights Angel and gets him to leave. Lindsey and the woman are preparing for a large charity evening organised by Wolfram and Hart.

Angel convinces the woman to help reveal some evidence showing that Wolfram and Hart were going to steal most of the money, and decides to get into the event. He pretends to fight Boon as he enters, but they are working together, forming a distraction for Lindsey and Lilah whilst the charity woman plays a tape for the whole room to see.

The tape has nothing though, Angel just wanted Lindsey and Lilah to make fools of themselves on tv, running across the hall as if their lives depended on it. At the same time, Boon leaves with the money. Wolfram and Hart are hurt, but the charity worker more so. She slaps Angel and tells him she doesn't care if the money was tainted.

Later, Boon goes to Angel's hotel with the money. He puts it down, saying he still needs to know who is best. They fight, but Angel wins. He takes the money, literally covered in blood, and gives it all, 2.5 million+ to the charity home.
