There are many good places to eat in Hangzhou. You can dine in several good and expensive restaurants as well as those maybe not the nicest looking but having heaps of great food and low prices. These usually offer traditional local food. Also there are many street stands which offer cheap handmade local dishes. There you can have a buffet
lunch for as little as Y5 (about $0.75). In bigger
restaurantsthere are usually carts pulled around by
waiters and you can choose from the cart whatever
you want. Many good restaurants are located near the
West Lake, with my favourite one in a narrow street,
just behind Pizza Hut which overlooks the Lake.
