Chapter 15 : Or else.. I'll get Goku to sing!
"They're Harathokins." A deep voice said from behind her, tone emotion free.
She turned to face him. "Why? Why'd you kill them?"
"They attacked me woman, what does it look like." Vegeta replied, eyeing the corpses with distaste. "One was watching me in the woods yesterday. That's what I was asking about when I arrived back."
"Bulma!" It called, "They haven't come here, have they?"
-present-
The prince shook his head. "They don't know about us. They're only here to strike revenge on me but, as you can see, their first attempt failed."
"First attempt?" She squeaked.
Vegeta fixed her with an eye. "Don't worry. They won't hurt you. I don't even know how many of them there are, there may never be another attempt."
"Then that means there could be hundreds of them!!" She screamed.
"Well, I suppose that makes me feel a little bit... WAIT! What do you mean, ESCAPED?"
Vegeta crossed his arms over his chest. "I purged their planet years ago as my first mission under Freiza. Their race died by my hand."
"I wish you didn't have such a freaky past, 'Geta. I mean, it's not every day a group of vengeful aliens attack and get destroyed in my yard." She gestured to the mess. "How the Hell am I gonna clean all this crap up?!"
"You won't have to."
"Oh yeah, I'm really gonna leave my garden like this..."
"It'll clean itself." He interrupted, "Harathokin blood dissolves 24 Earth hours after being spilt. They evolved that way so the hunters on their planet couldn't track them so easily."
'Anything to change the subject...'
She looked up and managed a weak smile. "Not feeling guilty anymore, Veggie?"
He blinked. The 'thrill' of the four second battle had wiped his mind clear of the events of yesterday.
'Damn, how could I forget?!'
"Oh shit Vegeta! Forget it already! If you don't lighten up I swear I'll get Goku around here and tell him his singing's WONDERFUL."
Vegeta shivered at the horrific thought. She was EVIL.
"Well, if you feel that way..." She pulled her mobile from her pocket, fingers poised over the keys. "IT ONLY TAKES A COUPLE OF NUMBERS AND YOUR FATE IS SEALED!! SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR EARS!!"
She laughed and took the phone in the other hand, slipping it back in her pocket. "You just did." She pulled him close and kissed him, their heartbeats blending once again.
"Ah, how.... uhuleck!" She collapsed in an unconscious heap on the floor as the scene around her daughter and their guest finally made itself known to her tiny little brain.
