Chapter 14 : A Saiya-jins Guilt
"Hey Geta." She greeted as he sat by her bedside in a chair he must have put there earlier.
The Saiya-jin avoided her gaze, obviously feeling guilty after hurting her.
"You could've died." Vegeta replied in a choked voice, "You might've died and it was all my fault. I said I wouldn't hurt you! Well, what's this? I don't deserve your forgiveness, Bulma Breifs. I am a Saiya-jin. We are meant to stick to your words. I failed. I am unworthy of my title."
'Does he feel that bad about hitting me?' She winced out of her thoughts as Vegeta pressed the towel and its icecubes to the spreading bruise, but quickly returned to them.
'I mean, the amazing 'Prince of all Saiya-jin' just dissed himself here! I know he's been changing recently, but...'
"Bulma dear! How are you feeling? That really was a nasty knock back there, or so I hear." She leaned closer and spoke quieter. "But with such a handsome young man tending you I'm not surprised you're looking better all ready! He's been with you for hours, darling." She spoke even softer, "But here's a tip, don't get better too soon or else you'll miss a good opertunity!"
Vegeta said nothing, just removed the water that had been ice from Bulma's side and left the room swiftly.
Her daughter nodded, "He's got the 'super ears of doom'. I'm not quite sure how good they are, but he hears pretty much anything."
Mrs. Breifs smiled, "He's got plenty of talents, that one! And plus, he's excruiciatingly good looking. And strong! He seems to be a much better choice than that Yamcha boy."
Bulma felt a hot blush rise into her cheeks. "Yeah, well, you know..."
