My Head Is Up Mommy & Daddy!
Head Up
Your baby is making great physical and developments. Although he still spends most of his time eating and sleeping. He's also learning how to communicate through facial expressions, cooing sounds, and especially, crying. Rest assured that crying is normal and at this stage and is his only way to let you know what he needs. You may already be learning how to interpret his different sounds and cries. Your baby is also starting to make sense of or relate to his/her surroundings.
This time of life is when the baby starts to bond with parents during feedings. May also begin to develop a social smile and try to imitate some movements and facial expressions. Your baby starts to focus on things farther away and is able to hold head securely. He/She my also be bating around at objects with hands.
