Dependent Sitter

Your baby may be able to sit up with support. Start talking to your baby's doctor and solid foods.

You may now start to see your baby's wonderful little smile and hear a little laugh. It's a big thrill after all those months of sleepless nights. You sould start to bond more with your child this is a very importent time. A few ways to do that is: sing your baby to sleep, make funny faces, and werid sounds.

You may see that your baby has takin a interest in her mirror image. Others things you my notice are that your baby has a predictable daily routine, starts to develop and stronger attachment to mom and dad, enjoys playing and responding to others with expressions and emotions, sits with help or support, when placed on stomach lifts head and supports weight on forearms, struggles to get objects that are out of reach, and may reach with one hand for objects.

Babies are driven to learn about language so they can communicate with their parents and family. Their primary task is learning how to make meaningful social contact with you. Even though babies can't really talk during the first six months of life, they are captivated by the sound of their parents' voices. So they watch and listen. They watch how you raise and lower your voice to express different emotions. They listen to how you speak to them and others. In the end, your child absorbs the finer points of communication without ever saying a word.
