Taipei 101
Discovery Channel did a show about the new Skyscraper being built in Taipei right now. It looks amazing, and I can't wait to see it. Supposedly they continue construction 24 hours a day with robotic computer controlled placement of the floor plates. There is an interior space with wide spans in the shape of a dragon's rib cage. The counterweight is a steel sphere weight an unbelievable 3 million pounds and I think there will be an observation room to see the giant sphere. Anyway, it looks very cool so far. I'll save future comments until I see it next week.
