| About Granito Fresco Granito Fresco was founded by an Italian artist who was dissatisfied with the typical solutions for renewing concrete entrance steps. Intense Colorado sun combined with foot traffic gave even the best paints a short life. Rock or tile was too expensive, and the grout tends to crumble. So combining her artistic skill, she developed a technique of hand mixing layers of color with a durable rock product called Spreadstone. Made of a crushed granite and polymer, the mixture is hard like rock, yet flexible. Applied in layers, the Granito Fresco process creates a surface with the texture and look of rock. The result is a unique work of art that makes a statement and also costs substantially less than conventional stone or tile work.
