Forever Bound Are We
(new version)
Take my eyes
For I do not need them
May your distant heart not weep
For my love is like a treasure in a box
And the key is yours to keep.
Oh my beloved, please do not cry!
May your memories soothe your aching cheeks dry.
Soon time will pass like sailing winds
And our hearts shall be together forever.

Seek not what you desire
But what you cherish
And only then shall you find immortality.

This is the rewritten version.
I was told that this one is better but I personally like the other one.
Forever Bound Are We
(original version)
Take thine eyes for I not need them
May thy distant heart not weep
Thine love is like a treasure in a box
and thy key to keep.

Oh thine beloved do not cry
My thy lov'ed memories soothe thy aching cheeks dry.

Soon time will pass like sailing winds
and our hearts shall be forever,
And shall the mortals souls
Breathe the love we had once found
The love immortal bound.

And so ye shall seek not what thou want
But the one ye shall cherish, thou love,
And then shall ye find immortality.

I wrote this poem after watching a movie about to lovers who were constantly torn from each other because of a raging battle which causes one of them to die but the other lover carries on till they are reunited  in death.
