| Met my biological parents here, in Chicago, in 1963. Met my biological mother, first, and then my biological father, five hours later. I later met my older sibling, Deborah. I would not meet my younger sibling, Nolan, for another year (he had not yet been conceived). My college alma mater is Westmont College, which I hold dearly in my heart. It is situated in the foothills of Montecito, a community outside Santa Barbara, California (my second home-state because of fond memories of Westmont). I have a degree in music. I am very proud of my bachelor's degree. I have written a song and I sent it off to the Copyright Office at the Library of Congress back in October of 2000. It now has a copyright! I'm so excited! I know I have a hit! I am NOT ASHAMED of my age. People who believe in placing value on only young women can kiss my @*#! Being myself is something that I didn't do in my youth or college years, but after turning thirty, I have tried to just be myself. So, sometimes, if need-be, I cuss like a sailor's wife. Recently, I acknowledged to myself and to a few other people of my bi-sexuality that I have kept repressed so deeply for so many years. I have never been with a woman. However, I still believe that a person can be bisexual or homosexual without ever having sex with a same-sex person. I love my gay and bi friends, but they know and now you'll know that I believe that homosexuality and bi-sexuality is a form of brokeness. Desert Stream Ministries---it's not whacked. I accepted Christ as Saviour; in September of 1969, as a six-year-old. As a forty-one-year-old, He is still my Saviour, but, I admit, He is not LORD over every area of my life. Maybe, that may change someday and maybe it won't. I do not know, but I still turn to Him all the time because I desperately need Him---all the time. I have many unanswered questions and HE is still very real to me. My hobbies and interests...needlepoint, needlework, sewing my own clothes (although it's been a long time for all of these ); love to drive long distances (have made 3 trips between Illinois and California, in my own car, two of the times, by myself); been to 34 other states, also been to two foreign countries, Canada and Mexico; editing my cassette tapes and video tapes; reading; love to go caving even though only been once (in 1999, in a cave near a town called, Tubac, Arizona); I love meeting people from all over the world! That is soooo exciting to me! I have a crush on the actor, Benjamin Bratt Another interest is that I have a reverent and respectful fascination and, sometimes, a pre-occupation with, the macabre (death). I've seen three of the four-parts of the famous documentary from the late 70's into the early '80's, called, "Faces of Death". My Father died in 1972. He was an eccentric person (a lot of his traits, I have). He came to know Christ as Saviour; after a former-fellow-heroin-user friend told him about God's grace. God changed him. After some time, my parents met and married. Several years later, my siblings and I came into existence. My Father worked in a steel mill near Chicago while he was attending school to become an Art Teacher. My Father and Mother had foreseen my Father's death. She is now with my father. My mother recently died. While she was single, she came to know Christ as Saviour; while being a church-goer and a Sunday-school teacher. She did all the good things that she thought she was suppose to do in order to be right with God. She was wrong. God had to change her, too. She received her bachelor's degree at the age of seventy-two, from Chicago State University. She has been a widow for over thirty years. My Mother (a lot of her traits I have) is a rather unusual person. She has known of eleven people who have died. Sometimes my Mother would tell my siblings and me of these deaths in lieu of bedtime stories, not out of spite, but out of her own stunned observance. At work, during lunch times, these individuals would make fun of her because of her evident, personal belief in GOD. My older sister is an unusual and talented artist and my brother received his associates degree in acounting in 1999, but he has a deep-seated desire to become a writer, someday. |
