The Great Smoky Mountains is one of my favorite vacation spots. Ever since I was little, my family has driven up to the Great Smoky Mountains every summer and even stayed in the cabin homes up there! It's not a mountain-esque vacation if you stay in a hotel and hike up the mountains. Vacation, sure, but it's not the full experience. I feel so at peace in the mountains, and when I'm staring at a waterfall. It's God's handiwork, and to me that handiwork displays a message. A message that although the world may have turned evil what with all the sex, drugs, and rock and roll lifestyles, God's still here. God is still working and making the world beautiful. So the next time you're at the edge of a cliff staring at the overhang, or staring up at a great waterfall (assuming you're at the bottom of the waterfall..), thank God for all of His beautiful handiwork. |
