                                      The nightmare of the South America

       Q The IMF - International Monetary Fund (the largest enemy of the construction of Brasilia and its great support once the damage was made) it was already disposed to supply more resources, to Brazil not to repeat Argentina. Brasilia went to ask many dollars there some months ago. If IMF had closed the hand, Brazil would have gone to the ground before Argentina.
       The history is long and complicated. My position is not the same of Roberto Campos, that remained silent on Brasilia after the apparent success of the 'Plano Real' (in a time he wrote me 'I am aware of their conclusions', but he didn't want to prolong the subject). I already wrote and I registered several hundreds of pages on the subject. And not I convinced almost nobody, therefore I know about the difficulty in passing the idea.
       I call it Versailles Effect. I had a moment of mental satisfaction after a statement that I did in a lecture that I gave for students of the Iberoamericana College, there in the Brigadier Avenue. In the middle of the lecture I took a risk the following: Rome fell in a time in that the headquarters of the Empire it was not in the city of Rome. Where was it? I didn't know, because the lightning arrived on that moment. As soon as I arrived home went to research to discover that when the Empire fell the capital was in Ravena, seven decades ago! Therefore, the Versailles Effect is not only of the Modern Era. It permeates the whole history. A new capital (new courtiers) only consolidates after 120 years of intense suffering. Before that it spreads misfortune to yours and the neighbors. There is no exception. Tokyo provoked exodus; Washington, the War of Secession, the largest of America. Madrid, the Revolution of the Prices; Alexandria, the division of the only World Empire.
       I don't need to unravel my a lot of dozens of examples. Because if two don't convince, two hundred either will get it.
       Ah: a dollar to be worth a pounds, two pounds or three pounds, that would produce the same result, with the difference that there would be one some export.
       A note: Our plans of stabilization came after the of Bolivia and of Argentina. Everything in Brasilia happens later. A thermometer of the cost it is the size of the public debt.




XX. The Romanic or the Hispanol-portuguess code

Creei tamben al longo dlos ultimos anos una escripta comun para los poblos de expression iberica, escripta que lhamo de romanico, ou hispanol-portuguess. La idea est tner una graphia que possa ser lida por qualquer pahis latino, mas que tenha base nla lingua iberica. Las simplifications principals son: (a) non ha accento graphico; (b) consonantes dobladas sol ha nlos digraphos "cc", "ll", "rr", "ss" e "zz", sendo este ultimo apenas para palabras de origen italiana; (c); la letra "y" sol se usa in nomes proprios ou in nomes de ciencia, como in Dylan e Psychologia. Veh-se que son eliminadas las idiossincrasias basicas del castellano e del lusitano. Como se pronunciha? Ora, lusophonos, como in portuguess; hispanicos, como in hispanol. Los iberophonos somos mais de meio bilion. Tudo permanecerah como estah? Muit tempo ja passou, mas la possibilidad de fhazer non se extinguio aind. Nota: In lingua con accentos graphicos la dactilographia leva el doblo del tempo. Non est mazsante?

(I also created along the last years a common writing for the people of Iberian expression. The main simplifications are: there is no graphic accent; (b) consonants bent there is only in the digraphs "cc", "ll", "rr", "ss" and "zz", being this last just for words of Italian origin; (c) the letter "y" is only used in proper names or in names of science, as in 'Dylan' and 'Psychologia'. It is seen that the basic idiosyncrasies of the Castilian and of the Portuguese are eliminated . How is it pronounced? Now, lusophones, as in Portuguese; Hispanic, as in Spanish. The iberophones are more than half billion. Will everything stay how it is? A long time already passed, but the possibility to do it still didn't extinguish. Note: In language with graphic accent the typing takes the double of the time. It is not boring?)

XXII. The scientific notation in logarithms

In all the world the books learn the reading of the table of logarithms in a complicated and tiring way for schoolboys. I needed to change this and after that I passed to use the technique of the scientific notation I eliminated an enormous problem (the difficulty was so much that a text coming of the State Secretary of Education in Sao Paulo attainned to recommend the use of electronic calculator, opposite to table, but this would mean to waste a rich didactic vein). I say to my kids that the result appearing in the table is only a mantissa, which corresponds to the logarithm of the presented argument, since one reads an imaginary decimal point at the first position (order). For example, for the value 617 below the column N one has 790285 for the column log (mantissa). This means that log6,17 = 0,790285. When one has 219, followed by 340444, the meaning is log2,19 = 0,340444. (This signal of equality here is in truth an approximation.) If the argument in this case hasn't the point at the first algarism then one does this, i. e., one put this number in the scientific notation. The exponent of the decimal potency will be the characteristic, which will be summed to the mantissa. For example, for log32800 one does log32800 = log(3.28x104) = 0.515874 + 4, where this mantissa, 0.515874, is the logarithm of 3.28. (The secret is the use of the properties of logarithm of the product and logarithm of the potency: log32800 = log(3.28x104) = log3.28 +log104 = log3.28 + 4log10 = 0.515874+4x1 = 0.515874 + 4 = 4,515874. The others two properties - logarithm of the quocient and change of basis - can be exercised also here.)
