CIV_TIPS
ANCIENT GREECE: Good in stone aged liga, has nice spear bonuses (same as austria) has gold mining , hunting and cit speed. Primary use is rushing with spears and then going slingers. Austria is usualy a better choice however.
ASSYRIAN EMPIRE: This is one of those awsome civs, its genraly used from stone up through indy. In stone-copper it has nice hit and run foot archer making it ideal for archer boom. In bronze and middle its used for CA (chariot archer or calvary archer). In dark its used for persian/cataphract (wing) or cav archer boom (pocket). In ren-indy its a pocket civ for good wings(make ranged/melee cav from stable).
BABYLON: Good for stone age slinger rush, thats about it.
BYZANTINE ROME: A great inf rush/boom civ. In bronze and middle its good for pocket swords or sword rush on wing. In later ages you can make some nice hit and run inf.
CARTHAGE: Spear cav civ... but no reason to go spear cav... nothing really makes this civ great so there aint much reason to pick it.
KINGDOM OF ISREAL: An interesting civ for early ages. Its got nice foot archer and swordsmen, also its got great priests if you fancey a priest rush in pre.
AUSTRIA: Widely used civ like assyrian empire. Its good for booming in any age. Its most widely used in pre-copper ages because it has great spearmen and cit cost reduction. In later ages such as ren-indy its good for sword cav. This civ totaly owns for imp age pocket because of the spears, just rush a cav pocket with spears and they are history.
ENGLAND: Lousey civ. Theres nothing its really good for (except loosing).
FRANKS: Nice civ if your going shock cav in pocket. Its kinda useless other times.
KINGDOM OF ITALY: Nice civ, however its hardly ever used on account of bad bonuses. Its ok for pocket inf/cav mix (not reccomended).
OTTOMAN EMPIRE: Like assyrian empire, but instead of speed it has attack. it makes for nice high powered ranged cav.
SPAIN: Another widely used civ. Great for inf in ages ren-nano. In ages with air however you dont have defence against tanks. In ren-indy you can make spear inf and they do a great job of owning those pesky royals/imps
FRANCE: Primarily used in ww1 and ww2 liga. Good for inf and anti tank (reccomended use for ww1 pocket).
GERMANY: Lousey civ on account of bonuses/eco. Works ok for tank boom on account of cit cost reduction. Also makes OK fighters.
GREAT BRITIAN: Another wonderful and widely used civ. Good for pocket in ww2-nano. Has great fighters and anti tank. Also good in nano aged 1vs1 for cyber 'rush'.
ITALY: Not used often. Only really good for pocket mgunner/aa in ww1 or ww2.
RUSSIA: Not a widely used civ on account of its hard to use. However, its good for inf ranged/tank/siege. Also, just to state this for the record...RUSSIAN SIEGE OWNS!!!
UNITED STATES: Ahh, here is a funny civ. used for cit rush (believe it or not it works too) and tank rush/boom.
CHINA: An ok civ for goofing off. Not good for much.
NOVAYA RUSSIA: A good cyber civ. It has ultra and combat cybers making it a cool civ. Personaly i think cybers with GB are better but NOY RUSSIA is an awsome civ too, especialy becouse of cit cost reduce and wood cutting . also to state this again....RUSSIAN SIEGE OWNS!!!
REBEL FORCES: Good civ for inf/tank. Not widely used (cant really see why as it owns when used right).
All civs have had their general uses described here. You can of course use them any way you want. For example you could use GB in stone and go archers. In the end its up to you to make the civ work for your playing style.
