Work Experience

Currently Self empoyed Programmer
I am currently working to automate the offering booking operations of Ayyappa Temple, New Delhi. This is the same software which I provided to the Guruvayorappan Temple, New Delhi as a part of my summer training. I am customizing the software according to the need of the Ayyappa Temple, New Delhi.

Responsibilities as a system administrator
  • Administration of Linux server used for email, internet gateway, DNS and file server
  • Maintenance of internal network and workstations
  • Testing of software for internal use
As a programmer I worked on the following projects
  • Punajb tourism - I made the event calender for the website. It showed the events for a particular month.
  • Goa Institute of Management - I made the online registration website for admission for the year 2004

May 2002 - July 2002 Ministry of Information Technology Trainee
I worked to automate the offering booking operations of Uttara Guruvayoorappan Temple, managed by Arsha Dharma Parishad (Regd.), Delhi. The software was made in VB 6.0 and used MySQL as the backend database. The software performed the following functions
  • Booking of offerings. The software also performed checks that a booking did not conflict with existing bookings.
  • Daily collection and expense through booking of offerings
  • Printing of daily pooja sheet , which allowed the temple to allocate the resources for the next day's offerings.
I was a volunteer system administrator at the temple and my responsiblities included
  • Helping the management in negotiations and procuring the computers
  • Setting up the network and workstations
  • Training the staff in the basic usage of computers
