Habits:He has a lot of excess energy, and is always moving, or messing with something. Keeps a pencil behind his ear and is always jotting down formation ideas and the like that he has. Often twirls that pencil in his fingers when he's thinking.

Hobbies: Music. He loves music, even though he sounds wretched when he sings. Doesn't seem to bother him, though, and he often drowns out those around him. Women. Drinking (moderately). Eating. He has an incredible appetite, and obviously an incredible metabolism, as he never seems to gain anything. He reads voraciously, and can never seem to learn enough.

Personality: Assertive, somewhat authoritative. Very intelligent, full of ideas. Gets frustrated easily when people don't understand him, which happens often. He sleeps very little, considering it rather a waste of time. He enjoys women, but honestly has more important things to be doing right now than to be tied down. He's ambitious, but not quite egotistical. He is aware of his special position in the weyr, but doesn't rub it in. He's social, but not too social - he's a bit aloof when it comes to casual interactions with others. He has a firey temper when his line is crossed, and once killed a man (non-rider) in a duel over his father's honor after his death. He is a man to be reckoned with, and despite his age, is very much a responsible adult.

Background: L'vay was born the only son of the weyrleader and the weyrwoman. He was raised by a loving weyr, allowed to explore and enjoy himself as he saw fit. He was curious and precocious, learning to read on his own by age four, and always pestering the drudges and dragonriders with questions. His first chance to stand for a clutch came when he was sixteen, and he Impressed bronze Teth, to no one's great suprise. He excelled in his weyrling classes, and was at the lake with Teth when the attack occurred that orphaned him. He fell into deep depression, not so much because they were his parents, but because the future, which had once seemed so bright and clear was suddenly shadowed and filled with doubt. He grew up quickly in the next years, by the age of nineteen acting far older than his years.
