The Apsalus II was almost exactly identical to the Apsalus I except for a perfected Minovsky craft system (allowing for more stable atmospheric flight) and a Mega Particle Cannon capable of blasting through almost anything. Piloted by Aina Sakhalin, the Apsalus II began its test flights in the Southeast Asia area. When the Federation became aware of these test flights, they sent the 08th MS Team to investigate and if possible, destroy the Mobile Armor. The Apsalus encountered the 08th MS Team and the ensuing battle caused the Apsalus to crash into the Himalayas. The pilot survived and was forced to self destruct the Apsalus II to keep it out of enemy hands. The Apsalus II's salvaged parts were used in the construction of the Apsalus III.
