On Sunday 12th January, Worthing went forth and conquered all before them at the Dolphin Centre, Haywards Heath, leaving the way open for the team to conquer teams at the next stage held at Woking, Surrey.
In what was a tightly fought contest, Worthing A ran out easy winners, having won all their games. Despite propping up the table and, obviously, being the strongest side with having to support everyone else, the B side gave the A side an early scare by twice taking the lead before going down 4-2. Unlucky lads, next time we'll walk the competition!
I'm sure that the societies who didn't win will wish us luck in Woking, will want us to go on further and possibly even bring back a trophy or six.
