Didn't want to blog, but I'm blogging anyways. Yeah... kind of regret I said to myself to blog every week... ._. Ah well, this is going to be my shortest blog ever, I believe.
It's March break! Yay!! ^^ But... It's going to be such a busy march break. oO; First of all, I have my new layout for spring that's coming at the end of March break that I'm working on presently... Working on it like mad... I'm on my 30th try for the image editing and with a lot of restarts... Still haven't finished. Then there's the HTML part... which is going to last quite a few days too. *sigh* But it's going to be worth it. I'm sure of it. ^^
Um... Let's see. I'll also have soon Final Fantasy VII to start and play. 'Can't wait! I've actually played the beginning before, and it's actually going to be first RPG! Weird, eh?
Oh, and I'm also practicing this song on piano called "Melodies of Life" from Final Fantasy IX, which is the "reborn" version. Super hard! Wah! Practicing like mad! I practiced 2 hours of it today! O O; Never ever been that dedicated to piano! I'm super amazed at myself! Seems like I really want to be able to play this 9-pages song. ^^; I can... reach the 6th page now. Yeah. Badly played though. > >; Euh, the first few pages isn't actually that bad. I'm improving~
Hm, yes. Shortest blog ever. Short blogs seem to be in fashion these days. ^^;
Yuki made a wish on 28/02/04*lil' sigh* 'Just came back from a refreshing shower... And a full day of first-time snowboarding...
So I went snowboarding for the first time of my life today. Yeah. It was painful. Yes. No better word to describe it. Crashed uncountable times. Seriously uncoutable. We went to Mont Avila, which was quite small compared to other mountains I went, but oh well, not like I needed high trails anyways. Those were quite enough for a girl's first snowboarding day. Definitely. Great, having so much typos. 'Keep re-writing the words. My energy is slowly leaving me...
We got our equipment. First time in snowboard boots. I so much prefer it than ski boots. Much more comfortable. Much more like shoes. ^^ (Yeah, shoelaces, mine kept un-tying...) Sai even said I looked chibi-ish like in mangas in my boots. ^^;
Since the monitors wouldn't teach us until 11 a.m., and we were ready around early 10 a.m., we decided to try our equipment. First, we went down this lil' slope on our way to the chairs... ... mm... Sticky snow... gaining speed... realized I couldn't turn my snowboard in order to brake like I've seen others do... was going to crash on the fence... made myself fall down...
Yeah... So since we still had time, we went on the easiest trail, the shortest, hardly a trail, which they have on every mountain. Mm... yeah... falls... crashes... first glimpse of how to break... how to keep my balance when going straight... Then, the monitors finally came. Learned a few things... The monitors there don't teach well. They didn't even teach Kaithy (who was skiing her first time) how to fall. > >; Neither how to get up properly when up on a trail. I definitely needed better monitors... At lunchtime, I was sweating so much that my hat, scarf, socks, and the t-shirt I was wearing inside was seriously wet. oO; I took off my scarf after. Much more refreshing. ^^
After lunch, we decided to go up on the higher trails. It wasn't that bad, since I've had experience with skiing and wasn't afraid of the slope. Controlling myself was another thing. 'Kept using the "braking position"... ^^; I had to sit down sometimes though, since the braking position needs a lot of energy off your legs, and my legs were getting sore. So yeah, I sat down a few times now and now for a few seconds to go down again. Then I envied the people who passed by me and were skiing and somewhat wished I was on skis... ^^; Ah well, 'learned to control my snowboard way better after that descent.
At one time there, I was going like slowly, to control my snowboard well, and this lady passed by me, and don't ask me how she deduced I could understand English, and while she was skiing slowly, she said to me seriously, "Be proud that you can do that. I've tried it once. Never got it.". She told me that probably because she could see it was one of my first times on snowboard. ^^;
Hmm, at the end there, I can actually control quite well my snowboard. I can go in S form while descending, but I have to change the foot that is in front... Not really supposed to, but I have trouble keeping my balance when my left foot is in front and I've going towards the right... 'Get an un-secure feeling when your body's turned toward up the hill and you have to look down the slope with your head. Get what I'm saying? Well, toward the left side, I can manage, but toward the right when I have to shift my weight toward the front of my foot (I actually caught that by myself, no thanks to the monitors ^^"), I always fall down. 'Been trying. Ah well, 'knew I wouldn't get it today. Not today. Maybe another time. ^^
I was so exhausted when I came back... We drank hot chocolate. 'Knew I should've bought a bigger cup... ^^;; Well, I hesitated if I should've bought a bigger cup. 'Was surprised when my hot chocolate was finished so quickly. ^-^; Yeah... even though I did get sugar, I fell asleep on the bus... ^^; Y'know, I'm actually quite lucky that no body parts were mine were sore... 'Hope they don't turn out sore tomorrow though... 'Was still kind of sleepy when I woke up though... Calm, yet refreshed. ^^ As I got out of the bus and felt the chill refreshing air against my cheeks, I thought, yes I did, I'm not lying, "I think I'm going to snowboard again."
Yuki made a wish on 19/02/04Yes, yes, I'm blogging. No, no, it isn't an "adventure" in math... I was too busy in math these days... I was finishing "Slaves of the Mastery". ^^ And I was... reading the story that Nick wrote in 5th grade and correcting it... I think I actually added quite a few "s"... ^^;;
Right... So what should I talk about. Seriously, I should take notes in my agenda of what to talk about in my blogs... My mind goes seriously blank these days. 'Wonder why... ._.
Oh yeah, the lil' snowflakes were pretty this morning~ ^^ *lol* Yes, I know myself I'm quite pointless. No need to mention it.
Let's see... 'Might as well mention to everyone "Happy Saint-Valentine's Day!" while I'm here. ^^;; Received a lot of chocolates, everyone? Speaking of which... *lol* Matthew refused Nick's chocolates. I missed it though. 'Just heard of it. ^^;; "Wonder if it's a good thing I did miss it though...
Oh, and it's today that I've also discovered Sai and Kutory, put new layouts on. And they're both kind of about Saint-Valentine. *blinks* Yes, my layout. What happened to it? Well, I'm actually working on it. I think it's going to be the only recent layout that's not going to be red-related. ^^; It's coming along... fine, we could say. Except the fact I've restarted it 2 times, first time because of an error I made, second time because of "unsatisfaction". Sakura~ ^^ (surprising the main color's actually not going to be reddish or anything) I believe it's going to be one of my best layouts ever. ^.^ But, this week, I didn't really work on my layout since, well, there's this gym thingy at school. We have to calculate our exercise and screen hours of this week. So, I'm going less often on the computer in order to decrease my screen hours. So yeah. ^^; And I'm also playing more often DDR because we asked the gym teacher and he said DDR would count for exercise and not screen hours. And I seriously improved before-yesterday on double-pad. I can manage quite well the swerves for my feet now. Yay~ I can play 7-feet now on double-pad. 'Need loads of concentration though. Whoa, I just saw the big big paragraph I did. My paragraphs are getting longer or what? oO;
Oh yeah, yesterday was Friday the 13th. Surprisingly (?), nothing special happened to me. It was quite an ordinary day. Well, actually, I don't even remember if bad things happened to me on Fridays the 13th. ^^;;
Yeah... need to talk about something. Oh yeah, Kaithy said she would pass me Final Fantasy 7 since I have a PlayStation now. ^^ It's actually going to be my first RPG. Is that normal? ._.; Well, I'm quite sure I'm so going to get easily stuck at it, unless I learn seriously quickly. Ah well, should I ask for help when I'll get stuck or should I just figure it out by myself? Oh yeah, and I got "Firesong" from the library today. Yay~ It appears it's even better than "Slaves of the Mastery". ^.^ I've started reading the first page of it...? ^^;
I got new pieces from my piano teacher today. Yay~ ^^ I got umm... a Schumann and a Chopin. Amazing. Two Chopin in a row. And when you think I've never got Chopin before (dunno why, I got mostly other composers). oO; And it is only today I've discovered how much Mazurka Chopin wrote. My piano teacher's got a whole thick book full of only Chopin's Mazurkas. Eek. oO; I've discovered because I'm actually playing a Mazurka right now. I actually got to choose a Mazurka, well, it was only those my piano teacher let me choose between, but hey, I still got a choice. Speaking of music, my music teacher actually told me to go in this after-school band if I could play on flute "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from "Lion King". And I can. ^^ Which means I'll be able to join the other band. Yay~ Speaking of which, that also means that... (I've just realized) I'll be able to see Drummer Boy, Kaithy. :P Ahem, well, I'll just be able to hear him drum, that's all. ^^; It'll be cool. ^^
... My paragraphs are seriously getting long.
Yuki made a wish on 14/02/04... Hmm, in math presently. ^^; (Duh, realize this is my math notebook?) I'm actually supposed to be taking notes right now... (bad Yuki) *innocent smile* Well, I can't really take notes anyways, so. Why? Since Isabelle, a girl from my class, copies my math notes since she doesn't take any notes in class so she takes my notebook to copy them sometime else. What does she do while we're supposed to be taking notes then? I think she does her homework or something. ^^; Well, I understand her. Math is perfectly boring. Why? I don't think it's my first time mentioning it. Well, the math teacher is boring, since he explains a lot of useless stuff that everyone understood and goes at a slow rhythm.
... 'Kay... ... The math teacher definitely says a lot of useless stuff.
... 'Kay... ... I actually just listened because he just explained something actually worth listening... Isn't there a shorter way than to "neutraliser"? Hey, I actually listen sometimes. Believe me, I do not want to fail math.
... Ugh, I really hope I'm not going to have the same math teacher next year again. ><" Hey, I've had this same math teacher for two years straight. And *sigh* the teacher teaches so... so... so... boring-ly! I actually used to like maths! What happened now?
... Wah, I can't believe I forgot "Slaves of the Mastery" at home. T T I finished the exercises before the math teacher corrected and I realized I forgot my book at home... > >; I like "Slaves of the Mastery"! ^^ I prefer it than "The Wind Singer", the tome I of this series ("Slaves of the Mastery is the tome II"). Why? Because, "Slaves of the Mastery" has a more developed plot. Unlike "Slaves of the Mastery", "The Wind Singer" has, well..., a less developed plot. (See the link? ^^;)
... Ah. I actually just put on my glasses and tried to listen what the teacher was saying. Rather useless. No, wait, I'm wrong. It was perfectly useless. ... Did I ever mention the math teacher explains a lot of useless stuff?
... Huh, the math teacher explains badly. Even I could explain better than what he just did. > >; (Oh yay, I just turned around to check the time: 15 minutes left~ ^^) Can't he understand he just left the student completely puzzled? He went too quickly... ... I can't believe what I just said. oO; Okay, he explains unclearly and corrects too slowly. He actually goes through every exercise number he gave us. > >; ... Okay... I just actually listened to him because there was this number I wasn't sure how to do... (actually, to be precise, I'm just not sure if I'm right)... ... Oh yay, I'm surprised at myself, I actually got it. Okay... So what was I saying? Ah yes, that he should just explain a few numbers, especially if they're similar. That's why last year, when I had him (> >"), our class was late compared to the other classes because they actually had a nice math teacher last year. The other math teacher probably taught better too. > >; Unfairness in life. *sigh* Wow, big paragraph. oO;
... Ah, turned my head again. 5 minutes left. ... Okay, I think he just gave us a number to do. 'Didn't listen... *innocent smile* Something about "d" and "e" of a number (he actually made a "joke" out of that), that I understood. ...
... *peeks to Annie just beside her*
... Oh, that number... Ahem.
... Right. I think I'm going to put this in my blog.
Yuki made a wish on 06/02/04Right, might as well blog... 'Told myself I would blog every week, so. 'Don't really know what to blog about though, so don't be surprised if this blog is short. ^^;
Oh yeah... I got better marks than I thought I would get this term... even though I didn't get my bulletin. Well, I think it's better than I thought... But lower than last term though, which is not very normal. I guess that's mostly because of projects... Ah well, hope I get better marks next term~
In music, we started having theory classes... oO; "Started to? In the middle of the year?" you might say? Yes. ^^; What did we do the first half of the year then? We just had to learn the theory by ourselves and we started to play pieces immediately since we had a concert in the middle of the year. ^^; So since now our concert's passed, we have time to learn theory with our teacher since he wants us to play harder pieces, and in order to do that, we have to be more advanced in theory so we could get the pieces quickly.
So we had out first class of theory in music recently. It's actually very basic, in fact the most basic you can get in music theory. ^^; But hey, I've actually learned something (since I'm not supposed to, since I've been playing piano for many years) because he's teaching the theory in French, and I've learned my theory in English, but it's kind of getting confusing to count the times, since it's different in French than in English. I get mixed up easily... x_X
Let's see... what can I talk about next. Oh yeah, I've been sick yesterday... -___- 'Been sleeping on the sofa all yesterday... Gets waves of dizziness when using the stairs... ^^; But after a whole night's 10 hours of sleep, I don't feel drowsy anymore! In fact, I feel much better now. ^^
Euh... what next... Oh yeah, my French writing improved! Yay~ ^^ Okay, it's still not very good, compared to some people, but hey, it's improved and I'm proud of myself. ^^
Great, I'm really running out of subjects to talk about... Ugh... Umm... Oh yeah, there's this valentine thingy our school organizing, called... umm... oO; ... "Perfect Match". It's like this thing there... on a sheet of paper, you fill up information about you (color of hair, color of eyes, etc) then you're matched up with someone by luck, hmm, or "fate". :P Then you have to find that certain someone by having the other's information. Luckily, we don't have to participate. Oh yeah, you can also write a person's name if you like the certain person. Oh yeah, once you find the person, I think you're supposed to give the other chocolates or something. Anyways, I'm not participating. ^^; I think a few people are though... Some people think it fun, I guess. ^^;
... Whoa, February already. Time flies. oO;
