If you came to this page then you must be at least
partly interesting in knowing something about Junkyard Racing. The
whole concept of JYR is just a bunch of friends with the same interest.
All of us are good friends that have been involved with cars since
we were old enough to drive. This is sort of the end result of talks
about forming a somewhat serious race team. We needed a name, and
Junkyard just seemed so fitting. We don't go to car shows, we don't
visit rice patches. We only go to the track, and we are only interested
in performance.
In the future JYRacing hopes to run a race team that
competes in all forms of events in the Texas area. Whether it be
the street, drag strip, autocross, or drift event, we want to build
a strong and visable presence that will be noticed. With cars in
the works by different people for just about everything, there is
no reason we can't make it happen.
I get a lot of people asking if we're accepting new
people. JYR isn't really your typical crew or club, we are a tight
knit group of friends. Most of us have known each other for years,
and have the same goals and ideas. So if you're really interested,
you'll just have to look for us at the track.
With all that said, please feel free to look around
the site. We have a forum so you can contact any of us, along with
a decent sized video collection. Also we have directions and websites
for all the tracks we visit locally. Be sure to look for our JYRacing
logo on the side of our cars. Because that means we're going to
tread all over you, until something else breaks and we have to bust
out the tow rope.
