Naturally, the best way to improve one's polo skills is to practice, practice, practice. One of the main elements of practice in any true polo player's agenda is to attend some sort of intensive clinic. A clinic is like a summer basketball camp for basketball players, although clinics take place year-round, depending on location. Some clinics are world-renowned, like the ones in Argentina and Palm Beach. These clinics afford excellent instruction from extremely knowledgeable guides, many of whom have handicaps of four or more. (For information regarding what a handicap is, please click on "What is Polo?" to your left or at the bottom of the screen.) The best clinics can often be expensive, but if possible, they are definitely worth it. Unfortunately, due to lack of proper facilities within a reasonable distance, extensive time commitment, and cost, it is with great regret that we have decided to suspend the Loyola Polo Society. However, please use this site to learn more about the sport and check back in the future for updates.
