To open the cheat box press and hold [CTRL]+[Shift]+[alt]+[c] then type any of the following codes.

- import"FAM file"-import and load specific FAM file.
- Water_tool-Create moat or Streams
- Edit_char-Create-a-character mode
- interests-Display personality and iterests
- draw_all_frames on/off-Draw all animationenabled/disabled
- cht -Execute "file.cht" file as a list of cheats
- Draw_floorable on/off-Floorable grid disabled/enabled
- Map_edit on/off-Map editor enabled/disabled
- move_objects on/off-Move any object on/off
- preview_anims on/off-Preview animation enabled/disabled
- quit-Quit game
- save-Save currently loaded house
- rotation (0-3)-rotate camera
- history-save family history file
- draw_routes on/off-Selected person path displayed/hidden
- log_mask-set event logging mask
- autonomy (1-1000)-set free thinking level
- sim-speed (-1000 - 1000)-Set sim speedy
- (directory path)-Sets the neighborhood directory to the path
- sim_log begin/end-Start/end sim logging
- edit_grass (number)-set grass change value
- grow_grass (0-150)-set grass growth
- Swap_houses -Swap the two house files and updates families
- Sweep on/off-Ticks enabled/disabled
- tile_info on/off- tile information displayed/hidden
- cam_mode-toggle camera mode
- music-toggle music
- sound_log-toggle sound log window
- sound-toggle sounds
- html-toggle web page creation
- reload_people-total reload of people skeletons, animations, suits,and skins.
