Concert October 8th 2002 |
At the State Theatre in St. Pete

|
I saw LBC on Tuesday, October 8th and they put on the best concert
I have ever been to. They were better at this concert then when I saw them at Warped Tour
01. Lucky Boys was the last band and they played for an hour. My friend and I arrived
outside State Theatre an hour and 1/2 before doors opened. Then we stood at the front of
the stage the whole time. My friend was standing under Stubhy, and I was under Jason and Adam.
Around 100 people showed up (every one that was there came to see them) and as soon as LBC started
playing the crowd went wild. My friend and I were dancing, jumping and singing the whole concert
and had an awesome time. I didnt get home until 12 am. After the concert we both talked to Stubhy
(even though we couldnt talk well or hear anything) and got the LBC flyer signed by him. Stubhy was really nice,
and the band put on an awesome show! Can't wait to see them again. Make sure you catch LBC when they come to your town!

How I heard of LBC |
Written October 2002

Lucky Boys Confusion (LBC) Is a band... they could be considered ska, with a little punk/reggea/rap/rock. I first saw LBC at Warped Tour July 2001 in FL from front row with out knowing who they were. My friend Chelsea told me that her friend Adam loved them, so she wanted to see them. That was the first time I saw and heard of the band L.B.C and I loved their addictive mix of ska-reggea-rock music. I had my picture taken with Stubhy, Jason, Adam and Joe. Adam (Gibson&vocals) and Jason (bass) both signed my LBC sticker. LBC did 3 more concert in FL, ones i could'nt go to for different reasons. I finally was able to go to an LBC concert again on October 8th, 2002 (from the front of the stage again!) this has made me like the band even more! I made this site because they are an awesome band and i want to share what I think about them (and my pictures from their concert) with other fans.

LONG Warped Tour Review

|
August 3, 2002
 |
Warped Tour 2002 in Orlando, Florida was a rain filled day of fun and music! By 11 in the morning everyone was hot and thirsty, but luckily the sky became overcast and it poured for an hour.
We were against the railing directly in front of Ozma's Stage when the rain started. The bands all played through out the rain. Mud wrestling was another main attraction that even the bands were entertained by. Mud mosh pits were found in every crowd. My shoes, legs, and clothes were covered in layers of mud, and I got mud freckles across my face from the constant flying mud around the pits. 12 yr old painted boobs were the most disgusting things there. Warped tour was more upbeat this year all because of the Overcast sky and relatively cool 90-degree weather. Ozma was awesome, but I enjoy seeing bands that I know their music, I liked Ozma a lot while they we playing but 20 minutes later I wasnt able to think of any of their songs, they are not catchy at all.
New Found Glory hyped up the crowd before they even started to play. The guys of NFG seemed to be having just as much fun as us and Jordan stage dove at the end of "my friends over you" It was still drizzling while they played. I was laughing and smiling the whole day at Warped, despite the 2 hours of sleep I had the night before!
Reel Big Fish was awesome! I really like bands if I hear them for the first time, love their music, and hours later am still able to recall their songs that I liked. Reel Big Fish have catchy ska-punk songs; their trumpet player has played for LBC. During their performance I went surfing for the first time! It was also the first time that a security guard caught me! lol. The whole concert kept me awake and hyped for the 11 hours we stayed.
Good Charlotte received a lot of attention, but while they played, we went off to eat pizza. Good Charlotte's old music was catchy and I loved it, but their new song "Life styles of the Rich and the Famous" has too much of a static, blurred and commercialized sound which I don't like. They have become more pop then punk. Even though we could not see GC while we were eating, I could still hear them. I thought it was weird how they were playing all of their old songs that they had also played at last years Warped Tour. I stood in the Bad Religion crowd for a while, but we quickly left when we remembered
NOFX would be at the next stage, playing in an hour. 8:00, it was falling dark, and we were waiting in NOFX's crowd. A lot of people had left the concert after hearing Good Charlotte, leaving mostly NOFX fans there. The people in the crowd for the one stage were my age (15), 20-something, or those scary 40-year-olds. All of these people excluding maybe 5 were guys. At this particular show, they were sharing their dislike of the Bush family and our president by handing out flyers (15 reasons why our president sucks). They also played a song, which shared their dislike of George W. Bush. NOFXs songs tend to aim at making points and diffuse their opinions. I think their music sounds awesome, and they truly are a talented band. Before they started to play, we found a lighter, and Chris's friend Trevor had a Gatorade bottle, so being bored he filled it up with mud and me, being a huge pyro played with the lighter, melting the Gatorade bottle that was filled with mud. At the same time about 5 other guys (our age) whipped out their lighters and started to burn the bottle too... we are easily amused! NOFX came on stage and Trevor threw the bottle somewhere into the pit. Something was wrong with the bands equipment, but they still managed to sound great! Mike complained a lot, and made tons of jokes that werent funny, then Mike went on to say that a lot of people ask him how did you get to be so funny. There was a lot of energy everywhere, when NOFX was playing, so I couldnt see the guys on stage. I am 5-5 and the guys there towered over me. I got lost in the crowd that had become one giant dark mud mosh pit. It was fun until then; I lost Chris and Trevor in the crowd, got my ankle jumped on, and had this scary 40-year-old man start talking to me. The last two rows in the crowd were calm, and thats were I found Chris and Trevor. I laughed off my bruises and enjoyed the rest of NOFXs show. When NOFX finished playing all of us left smiling. We found Chriss dad and everyone else, and then drove home listening to Incubus, NOFX and Lucky Boys Confusion for two hours. I love being in the crowd and pit most of the time depending on the band and the people, but I like listening to NOFX's CD's in my bedroom more then I did during most of their performance. During NOFX I had Fun shoving a few people, being a pyro, and standing next to Chris and Trevor away from the angry drunk guys and old punk men. I didnt mind that my clothes were ruined or my ankle hurt for a few weeks... some think that the point of the mosh pit is to get hurt, I say it's to dance and have fun. Something Corporate, MXPX, Thursday, and Bad Religion were some of the other bands I saw, there isnt much to write about them. This years Warped Tour turned out to be a lot more fun than last years!
You will defiantly see me at many more Warped Tours to come.
