Sims Guide
Part Two:
Livin' It Up
~Livin the Life...of the poor~
Ok, so you should probably have about 200-500 simoleons left, right? Good. Now, if you haven't noticed, you're kinda on the low end of money. So puck up that newspaper right beside your mailbox, and find a job! I highlly recommend MIlitary Career Crack, because it pays a LOT and you don't need many friends.  So, get all of your characters a job, then start Shelly and Harry talking. THen, when the option is available, flrit. And flirt. And flirt. And kiss (eww).  ONce they are in love, you can give it a rest (If they ask for a baby, say NO! NO NO NO!).  While Shelly/Henry are doin' their thing, get Rita into the living room and start on cooking skill pionts. (using the "Study Cooking" option from the bookshelf.) After Shelly and Henry are finished, ahve them study either cooking or mechanics.  Ultra Speed your game.  Then, somewhere between 4 and 7 PM, stop and have them fill-up their stats. Then make them go to bed.
The following morning.... Wake them up somwhere between 12AM and 3AM (carpool arrives at 5 AM. I'm donig this guide based on the Military Career track. If you chose a different career, wake up two orthree hours before the carpool arrives.) They might be a little grumpy...but they'll live.  Get Rita in there to cook, while Henry/Shelly fill up their stat's, if needed.  If not, just watch t.v. until Rita's done cooking.  Eat. Use the restroom. Shower. Go to work! That's how it should go.

If your sims' mood was high enough (two points up in the green area) they'll most likely get a promotion! Buy a weight bench plus a mirror, and get either Shelly or Henry to get their body points up for a promo.  We'll just say Henry is, because it's easier that way.  Ok, have Shelly go work on her Charisma (you'll need it soon) or Mechanics.  After you've earned two points in these, and Henry's earned two points on the weight bench, depending on their moods, either switch, or, the most likely, start filling up their stats.  The next day, your sims'  moods might be really crappy.  If they are, keep the mhome.  If they're not, send them off!  You can only take one day off! ONE DAY1  No more, or you'll be fired. YOu can take every other day off, if you wanted to (I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS! you'll get no money), just not 2 days in a row.  You have to be careful wabout this.  ANd if you send your sim off in a bad mood, three days in a row, then they'll get demoted (ouch!).  Be careful!
Now your sims, Shelly/Henry are up to 500 Simoleons a day, after several prmos.  Have Rita quit her job, keep focusing on cooking, and most important of all, making friends.  Keep Shelly and Henry in tip-top shape.  When you ahve about 20,000 saved up, you ahve two choices.  Have a kid, or get the job you wanted.  I'd keep saving till I go that mansion, then have kids, wouldn't you? Well if you continue normal routines, you'll get up there in no time. GOOD LUCK!

~Kids~

So, now you wanna have kids? Well, the first thing to do is have Passionate Kisses (ewwwwww) over and over and over.  (only hererosexual [opposite sex] couples can have babies wiht each other. For same sex couples, you might get a phone call that might interest you...hmm....wonder what?) There is a 1 in 5 chance your simmies will have a baby. Another way to get a baby (*gasp* another way? Wonder if it involves the..PHONE) The only way to adopt a kid is by getting a phone call form the adoption agency.  This is totally random call.  There is NO WAY that you can make it happen, other than having a phone and two adults in the house.  Well, now you have a baby!! Aww....it's so ADORABLE...but then, again...

`1 hour later...

That baby (we'll call him Jack...for short) is crying! Wahh wahh wahh! Do the following: feed, feed, sing.  DO NOT PLAY! If you play with the baby, it'll just keep good ol' Jack up! Not good. The baby will develop into a child after 3 days. The 3 worst days of your life.

Day 1:
Today, it officially begins.  Jack will wake up about every three hours.  Lets use our living family as an example.  Shelly and Henry still go to work everyday.  Rita is the only one staying home. She's the one with the baby.  Since you now should have about 20,000 simoleons (the recommended amount) you should start building the childs room.  Build a nice bedroom, slightly bigger than the rest, because of toys and what not.  Then, if it's a boy, decorate boy style, if it's a girl, decorate girl style.  Then, turn Rita's room into a nursery.  NOt with a bunch fo baby stuff, no.  Just throw a cheap t.v., refrigerator, a toilet (but she can live without it...), and  a nice couch with a really really high energy rating.  That way, she never has to leave the room.  Don't worry about her stats, they're going to go WAY WAY down by the third day anyways.  That means, no shower, social, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FEED HER!!!! Your sim will STARVE within three days! Not good! Anyways, just eat snacks all day, and she'll survive, just don't cook meals.  You never know when Jack will start cry.  Pretty much, sleep and eat, and sometimes watch a little t.v.  Wake up every 6 horus to do a Feed Feed Sing deal, and it'll sleep.

Day 2:
---Continue Yesterdays Strategy---

Day 3:

Continue Day 1's strategy, until the child developes around the same time that baby was made, three days earlier.  CONGRATS! YOU HAVE A KID!

Your kid is gonna be ugly. Sorry! That's just one of those bad things.  When teh Sims 2 comes out, then your kids won't be ugly, unless the parents are ugly. :) Thing to look foward to.

The personalities of your child will be randomly chosen by the game.  So will the skills of your sim child.  Te only thing you can be sure of is that thteir Playful stat will almost always be high.  So now that's out of hte way, why don't we continue on?

MONEY WITH A KID:

Since you already have at least 2 sims in your house, then the kid will not acost a dime more to feed, because a Serve Meal command will serve 6 people. :) If kids get straight A's, they'll get 100 Simoleons from Grandpa every so often.  If they study when they have straight A's, then the Sims Education place will give them omney.  NOt ot mention, you get 10% off your bills for every child you have.  Example, if you're a single adult with 7 children, you'll only have to pay 30% of your bills (70% off!!!).  Good deal, huh? Another thing, that's not such a good deal, is Military School.  If your kid(s) get all F's, then they will be sent to Military School, and you'll NEVER, EVER see them again! :( Well, it might sound good to SOME Of you, but then, you're fined 1000 Simoleons! Not so good now, is it?!
