The Sims Guide
Part One-
Before you start a life.
Here is where I'll post the Sim Guide! Woohoo! Yay! I will teach you the easiest way through the Sims Life! (P.s. I highly recommend NOT using cheats! Though it is VERY tempting, refrain! Well, you can use move_objects on, because that won't chagne much... But you want to elave everything else alone, because cheating just makes the game boring... The game was invented as SIMULATION, not cheat and take the easy route and then hate the game, because it gets uber boring!)

Anyways, here we go! :)

~Creating Your Family~
After several months of testing, I feel that almost every bit of this guide will help you get thorugh, if used correctly.  Ok, continuing, 2 or 3 people in the family is a good way to start.  I use three in this guide, so if you're not very familiar with The Sims, then you might want to use three, until you get better. :) I chose two women and one guy. It doesn't matter, really, except, you should have one couple. (It doesn't matter what sex. If you want a gay relationship, it's ok, they can still sleep together) ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN!!! All they do is waste money.  YO ucan have children later, but not untikl you have about 20,00 Simoleons.  Kids are very expensive... I'll call them Henry and Shelly (the couple) and Rita.  So I don't go saying one gu yand one girl and the other...hehe.

You should focus all of your personality points on nice, outgoing, playful, and active.
               - active = 5
               - nice = 7
               - playful = 7
               - outgoing = 6
Don't max out your active points. I recommened 3-5.  You need active points, so it doesn't take them 2 horus to get otu of bed, even when their energy is maxxed. Don't max them out, because in order ot have fun, they need to be active, which takes WAY more energy than watching t.v. A bad thing, if you're focused on your career...

The first important thing you do in the sims is pick your lot and build your house! I would find a lot that costs nothing more than 5,000.  THis means you'll have a small lot, but that's ok, because you can evict yoru sim and move them into that big old mansion on the top of the hill... :)  You don't need a big not right now anyways.  You don't have enough money to build a big house, let alone furnish it!

Build a house with fairly small rooms.  I know that some guides say not to put windows, wallpaper, or flooirng in it, but please, PUT THEM IN THERE!!!  It's gonna end up shooting your sims mood down, if you don't. Which means, they don't get promoted or learn skills, which means no extra cash.  Even if it's not the carpet of your dreams, you still need it.  Just like everything else, once you get the simoleons, you'll start upgrading things.

You'll need several rooms.  A kitchen/dining room combo, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living room. *cringe* That's a lot of money! Now you know why I make them small? Don't get big expensive windows.  The little ones work just as well. Really.
           - kitchen/dining = stove, refrigerator, four pieces of cuonter, experesso, food processor, trash                    can, table, 3 or 4 chairs, and a sink (leave the remaining counter blank). For the table, just get a                card talbe.  They'll do fine! Do the following setup. R|FP|S|BC That would be, refrigerator, Food              Processor, Stove, Blank Counter.
           - Shelly and Henry's room = A fairly decent double bed. I use Napoliean Sleigh bed or Modern       Mission Bed. Though they are expensive, these are the most valuable characters, and they need to be in top shape for working. Also, get two of the cheapest counters, and put them next to the bed.  On the left counter, put a clock, on the right counter, put a lamp!
           - Rita's room = her room doesn't matter as much.  She's eventually going ot quit her job, so if she  doesn't climb the career ladder as fast, it's no big dea. Just get her a cheap-o single bed. Of  course, she'll get an upgrade eventually! Also, get her one cheap-o endtable and the alarm clock. That's it!
           - Shelly/Henry's Bathroom = get one cheap toilet and two stand up showers. Nothing more.
           - Rita's bathroom = get one cheap toilet and one stand up shower. Nothing more. ;)
           - Living room = get the 500 Simoleon t.v. and either a 3 seater sofa, or a love seat, maybe even a   love seat and a chair...if you can afford it. I recommend getting a fairly cheap love seat, and one cheap desk chair. But if you ahve about 750 simoleons, go ahead and get a nice, comfy 3 seater. They'll appreciate it.  Also, get a bookshelf. This is the cheapest way for Rita to learn how to cook. Get he cheap bookcase, because an expensive one does not better. You need a phone too. They give away money! :D
