NANCY'S

JOURNAL

Nancy Luca was raised in the heart of Florida's gator country where she learned to play guitar at an early age from Heartbreakers guitarist, Mike Campbell. Her philosophy of playing is simple: "I love the energy exchange between audience and performer, I feel that creates the magic in the music." Nancy has played with Tom Petty when his band, Mudcrutch, played in Gainesville, and Bo Diddley, who wrote two songs for her which they recorded in New York and she played on his album, Breaking Through the BS. Her recent CD is titled "I Play Guitar" and that song tells her story. She lives in Los Angeles, where she plays in her own band, as well as two all-girl tribute bands, Whole Lotta Rosies (AC/DC) and Mistress of Reality (Black Sabbath). She's played in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Puerto Rico, Portland, Seattle, Las Cruces, Hollywood and Hawaii in this past year, always bringing more friends to her myspace page. And of course, Gainesville, where her heart is.

Rock on! Nancy
