Plant PropogationI am not an expert! I am guessing as I go, but everything posted here I have tried and all comments are from personal experience. Maybe you'll find something useful here.Seeds: are pretty much self-explanatory. Plant a seed - grow a plant. That's what I thought, anyway. Humans can find a way to make anything confusing. Leaf and Hardwood Cuttings: This is when you snip off a piece of a plant, and grow it into a new plant which happens to be the genetic identical of the first one. Sounds easy doesn't it :-) Well, the more you read about it the more complex it gets :-) Extreme Stem Cuttings: This is where you hack off the entire stem into little bits, and use them to grow new plants. Sounds dangerous, relieves tension, keeps the other plants in line. But never fear, Brett is here! I can add another layer of frustration and confusion to your quest for knowledge. Follow the links to the left for my own successes, adventures, and failures. Believe it or not, I've found raising kids to be easier than keeping plants alive. I don't offer answers here, more like Case Studies, just what I did and what came of it. So click onward and enjoy, Brett |
