Tower of Terror, or Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire:

We finally got to the ground!

The elevator ride to the surface of New California was anything but fun. The car had little to no compensation for the rapid acceleration, and proceeded to slam us all over the place.

When we finally got out of the car, we found a world that, while beautiful, seems anything but well run. Nothing was well maintained at the disembarkation point, and drunken protestors were all over the place throwing trash at anyone in a Federation uniform. Had the captain ordered it, I would have gladly stunned the lot of them!

I also have a new personal problem that has come to the forefront. Someone named S'Varr was looking for me. He's another of the cat people, but with a name like that, you probably had already guessed. He is a civilian and seems to be someone the rest of the crew doesn't like from the reaction. Aside from my normal feelings of distrust for the cats, I have taken a dislike for this one as well!

R'Merr and I have now served together fighting the Borg and I respect his ability to remain cool under pressure. He can fly the Freedom like a fighter-shuttle, and he seems to try to do what's right at all times. He is young and very naïve, but not a bad person for a cat. I was joking with him as we waited for the car to start down when this garishly dressed cat jumps in with us and his first action is to start picking on R'Merr. That angered me a good bit, but I was also not pleased to find he had been wandering the Freedom like she was some cruse ship placed there for his own amusement!

Somehow this civilian fop has gotten into my personnel record and found something there that he found interesting enough track me down over, and to want to talk about. I just wonder what? If he were human, I'd think he was from Ironbottm, but I find that highly unlikely.

This S'Varr has asked me to dinner, but I don't think I will go alone. I trust this fellow about as far as I can toss him, but I want to know what he knows and how he found his way into my record! If I go, I may ask someone along, perhaps Lott, also R'Merr owes me a dinner on our bet. Maybe I'll ask him along too.
