Reasons for pledging LTA:
There are many reasons why I pledged for Lambda Theta Alpha, however the primary reason was to establish a sisterhood with women of all nationalities. Through Sisterhood, I have experienced the Strength and persistence of every member of LTA. As we continue to grow, I will help impact our diverse community and throughout ASU.
Role model: Tina Turner, for her independence and strengths when overcoming the struggles in life.....

Reason for pledging LTA:
At first, I didn’t know what kind of sisterhood I was joining, since we were the first line here at Arizona State, I didn’t have older sisters here who I could talk to on a regular basis. Until the orientation process began, I noticed that a lot of sisters were calling from Jersey, Florida, California and Texas to checkup on how we were doing. It was then that I found out that there was a lot more support coming from sisters that I never spoke to. Some very special sisters I would like to say thanks to, a sister from Connecticut (Luanda), two sisters from Jersey (Rosie~Sigma chapter and Miss Cindy Joanna Lopez~Phi Chapter...WE LOVEEEEE PHI CHAPTER) and four sisters from California (Yahaira~Beta Zeta, Patty, Alex, and my linesister Gorreti~Beta Delta who all came down to help Beta Iota Chapter get started at Arizona State. I thank them all for showing me how a sisterhood should really be.

"Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely."

Pledge Mistress Rosalinda Diaz(Cruz) Founding Sister #2 Fall 1993 Sigma Chapter
