In January 1999, Beta Iota Chapter was officially an Interest group of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. at Arizona State University. As an official interest group, we worked hard with community service projects, fundraisers while continuing throughout the summer of 1999. As our goals and hard work paid off, we then went through the orientation process and got a first look at a very close sisterhood. Our goal was finally reached on July 3, 1999, when Beta Iota Chapter was founded. The two ladies that succeeded in obtaining the prestigious and honorable status of "Founding sisters" are
