A LEADER IN INDONESIAN DEVELOPMENT
So far LSM PILAR's projects are funded by its members, international NGOs, and an international donor agency like ADB through national donor agencies such as The Indonesian Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development and The Indonesian Ministry of Trade.
For our Business Development Service, our main funding comes from the Indonesian State Ministry of Cooperation and Development of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises. From the ministry, we received Rp. 250 millions (US $ 26,595) as a loan to our BDS members--furniture enterprises. We also received a block grant from the ministry as much as Rp. 50 millions for funding our advocacy and BDS management activities/programs, including for funding the services provided by our partners.
Our projects in the sectors of education and governance are funded by our members and a US NGO, ISA. The funding is very small. This funding only covers the expenses for textbooks and stationeries. Our education projects are for free and this means that the poor community don't pay any money for the projects or our staff.
