Overdosing on LSD

Overdosing on LSD is common since it is so potent, accidentally taking 1 centigram of LSD can cause horrible side effects: comas, internal bleeding, and/or hypothermia. There have been no reports of death caused by LSD itself (see Mental/Emotional Effects, second column) in humans, but death by LSD while other chemicals were in the system has been reported.

Experiments have been done on animals to try and find a lethal amount of LSD, and the estimated amount is 12,000 micrograms, but this can obviously not be determined.
