LP WithYou: Liz's LP Account Part 3

Part 3: Ya'll kicked the Deftones crowd's asses!

yeh so...I forgot where I got up to...oh where they stopped in Papercut?

Yeh...after that they played the song again, then went on to play a really good set including most of their songs.

It was so amazing! Before they sang Crawling, Chester stopped and told us all we were a great enthusiastic crowd and he said: "Were any of you here last time we were here with the Deftones?" and some people yelled...then he said "Well you are a much better and lively crowd...Ya'll Kicked their asses!...and if you were there yourself, well you kicked your own ass!" :p

When they played My December it was really cool. It's a really nice song to hear live. It's a slow song and it's not on the album os not as many people knew it but it was really pretty in the hall with people waving lit lighters, it was nice.

The whole atmosphere of the night was amazing, it was so hot and sticky and manky, but it was also very freindly. Well, during LP's set anyway...not too sure about right in the pit...I hope people are ok.

When the show finished, Amy and Cat went to leave but I said NO! I know that they often come back after the show and sign stuff...so we went to the front and waited. Most people had gone now, so we were right there. We stood there for a bit, while they handed out the last of the cups of water...it was then that we realised that they were scooping it out of the bottom of this big bucket bin thing..and we looked at it and it was full of bits of black crap! ugh!

I stood there, holding my ticket, my Hybrid Theory cover, and my letter to LP that I wrote.

Suddenly I heared screaming, and Cat said 'Theyre over there!!!!' so we ran along the line, and I to hand them the letter. They werent signing stuff, but I didnt care. I had lost my voice by then so I couldn't scream out their name, so I chased them down the line in front of the barrier, until finally I handed the letter to Mike and he gave it to a man with a bunch of other letters...and I SHOOK JOE'S HAND!!! lol, I'm so pleased about that! hehehehhehehheeeeehehehheee

Ok, so once we done that we left the building, it was good to get outside! The air was so refreshing! We were all jittery and like, 'OMG!! They came out!'...until we realised the downpoint of getting out late...the queue to the lightrail. It went for MILES. Because apart from a small road, that is about the only way out of the docklands. So we joined the end of the queue, get to the front about 10 mins later, and realised it's the wrong side of the platform, so we had to go all the way down and wait in the other queue! Eventually, we got to the platform and waited for the train. My back was KILLING me, and the train took forever! My mum rang during this time, told us to meat her and margaret in the pizza place in Greenwich. We got on the train, and by now I could hardly talk at all. I screamed too much! It was heaven to sit down. So we got to greenwich, made our way to the pizza, sat down, and we drank all their water and inhailed the pizza that they had ordered for us. On the way home I slept on Catherine's shoulder. I then collapsed on my bed...only to have to get up bright and early at 6.30 the next morning!

xxLiz
