Korn were formed in 1993 with
combination of the bands Sexart and LAPD. Jonathan Davis was
singing with Sexart when he was an assistant coroner in Kern County
Coroners Department and had recently earned a degree at San
Francisco's School of Mortuary Science. Jonathan was
only four months in Sexart and did only one song. |
| LAPD was the
band which included Munky, David, Fieldy later and on tour only
Head. LAPD was bigger then Sexart and it's not impossible to
find, like Sexart. Head and Munky met Jon on a bar in Baker
when Sexart were playing. According to Munky: "We were
getting ready to leave, and just as we're walking out of the
door.... Jon was the singer in that band, and we heard him sing and
me and Brian both turned to each other and our jaws just... oh my
God. And so we turned around and went back in and watched the
whole set." Later they asked Jonathan to join the band.
Jonathan didn't want to, but a psychic told him he was stupid if he
didn't do it, so he tried out. Then in 1994 they released
their first album "self-titled". It was a awesome
album, then in 1996 they released their second album "Life Is
Peachy", and in 1997 they released their third album
"Follow The Leader" and now recently they released new
album "Issues". I've heard that they're gonna
release new album late in the year 2000. |
