A note on the Shadow/Survivor's Court:

The names that they chosen or which were chosen for them are primarily descriptive. They're not trying to pretend to be archtypes. Most of them just don't care about what they're called by others.

Why are they called the Shadow Court?

That's because they prefer to stay 'in the shadows', and don't really care for connecting with the rest of us. The only real reason why these ones who allowed themselves to be known to us was because of stress and strange circumstances.

The Seated Members:

Winter: She of the rasping voice and indifference.

Harper: The female counterpart to Bard, although not in any sense other than that they keep company. They're very similar in temperment and outlook.

Bard: Another quiet fellow. Tends to always just shrug with a sigh and take the blame and feels absolutely nothing about it all. He has emotions, but keeps the volume turned down on them. Keeps his peace and watches.

The Staff:

Hunter: Function over form. Hunter's nickname is "Hunter Green", and she holds herself very aggressively. She's obedient to Harper and Bard, and has little interest in the outside world until she's told to "seek and find".

Shade: Nicknamed also Shadow and Darkness, only because she tries to find tiny corners in closets and under beds to crawl into and hide. Interesting in contrast to Strawberry, who is claustrophobic.

Shame: Shame's a young girl who is convinced that it's "all her fault". She's panicked, frantic, and terribly apologetic.

Angela: A sweetheart to deal with, it's easy to not notice that she's constantly trying to find ways to kill herself. The general holder of our suicidal instincts.

Distance: We can assume she's a front. She's named the way she is because she's seriously divided from the world--when she's out, she has little physical feedback from things around her. My guess is that people of this Court 'steer her around' whenever they want to go and do things.

ReChorder: An indifferent, although friendly woman who takes dictation from others. She protects the emotional barrier between internal communication by doing so. She's never used, however, since the Summer Court doesn't need such go-betweens, and Winter Court relishes in the distribution of stress.
