St. James Primary School in the BLSS Project
Children enjoyed their fieldtrips around the Belfast Lough and were inspired by nature and the four artists - Poet Adrian Rice, Artists Phil O'Hanlon and Helen Crossey & Drama teacher/Director Molly Freeman who worked closely with the children.  Drama came to the forefront when poems by Patrick Scullion, Stephanie McCann, Jonathan McShane, Michael McCabe, Mairead Bailie & Carolyn Mclarnon were scripted into performance pieces

and acted by a talented group of six pupils: Holly Corscadden, Stephaine McCann, Mary McKeague, Jonathan McShane, Jordan Ponise & Patrick Scullion. They performed their piece to perfection at the Newtownabbey Launch at Ballyearl Theatre.
Poetry and art from the P6 class, along with the nine other schools involved around the Lough, will then come to the frontfront in an amazing children's antholgoy of poetry, art and drama - called 'Lough Views' due in September 2003 and edited by the poet Adrian Rice.
