Current News.
This news is to update you on our latest cruise. From the end of October until The end of November we did a cruise in Thai waters. Our trip North was short. We covered the first leg to Phi Phi Don in 21 hours non stop. We did it that way as the weather conditions suited us on the day. After one full day and a lot of sleep we left Phi Phi and headed to the Yacht Haven Marina at the very North end of Phuket island. We had arranged to meet a friend from Hong Kong there. After that visit we spent 10 Days cruising around Phang Nga Bay to the NE of Phuket. See our Photo album labeled Thailand to get a good idea of the beauty of this bay.
At the end of that cruise we entered the Boat Lagoon Marina in order to get some repairs done by the local service technicians. It has been a long time since we had that level of repair and maintenance support. It was good to get some long term problems out of the way. After a week of marina life we headed back towards Langkawi. This time taking 11 days to make the joyrney, moving from island to island. During our stay in Thailand the weather changed and the NE monsoon season got established. This made the sailing fun and for a change our direction and the wind were in harmony with each other.
We are now getting ready for an extended cruise through the northern part of the Indian Ocean, begining in January 2002 with a short 450 mile leg to Port Blair in the Andaman Islands.
We will update the site before departing.
