Lotus Mantra

The progress of Phil and Ines on their voyage with Lotus Mantra.
We left Hong Kong in May of 1999. The boat remained in Puerto Galera Philippines while we visited the UK and Switzerland, through the summer of 1999.
We then sailed south through the Philippines, spending Christmas and New year in Coron. After which we continued southwest to El-Nido on the island of Palawan and then south down the coast of Palawan until heading out into the Palawan Passage on the way to Kota Kinabalu on the island of Borneo.
Again the boat remained in Kota Kinabalu while we made a trip to the UK.
We departed Kota Kinabalu in July and sailed via the islands of Tiga and Labuan to Brunei. We stopped at Muara the main port and Kuala Belait at the south of Brunei. From there we sailed direct to Kuching where we stayed for ten days. From Kuching we sailed across the south China sea to Sabana Cove. We departed Sabana to Singapore on January 13.2001. We proceeded North along the Strait of Malacca to the Malaysian island of Langkawi arriving on 01 Feb. We carried out a considerable amount of work on the boat between February and October 2001. We also made a trip to Europe in May.
From Langkawi we sailed the short distance to Phuket in Thailand. Arriving on 21 October 2001. We stayed for five weeks in Thailand before returning to Langkawi to prepare our selves and the boat for an Indian Ocean cruise starting in January 2002. We have now completed our visit to the Andaman Islands Sri Lanka, India and Male. The boat had a new bottom paint job done at Rebak marina where she is now in the water and waiting for our next trip.
That trip in fact never happened and in 2003 we did a delivery trip on another boat from Hong Kong to the Philippines and then on yet another boat from the Philippines back to Hong Kong.
Lotus Mantra was sold on March 21 2004 and we have moved onto our new yacht which is called "Mythra" a 48 foot steel Ketch built in Holland.
