Frodo Baggins is a hobbit played by Elijah Wood, the lass with crooked teeth who bites his nails too much but does have pretty eyes. He is the hero of sorts in this epic little story as he is the one who carries the One Ring.
Frodo�s fighting abilities leave much to be desired. Some strange power comes over him that practically every time he gets into a fighting situation, he falls down and usually gets stabbed. It is a very sad disorder indeed.
Young Frodo also seems to be the wisest out of the four main hobbits. He takes his task very seriously and proves to be a hobbit of courage by the end of the tale.

The other half of the first of two hobbit duos is Samwise Gamgee, played by Sean Astin. Sam is the Pippin-half of the Sam/Frodo team, if you catch my drift. But, he is ever faithful and true to his Mister Frodo, even though his affection for Frodo is, at times, utterly disturbing. Heck, he almost drowns just to be with Frodo. And he�s a gardener for pity�s sake! Loyal or Weird? You decide---maybe a little bit of both?
