TopThe tradition continues at North Valley! The annual Black & White Ball is the highlight of the season and usually takes place in November. Glamorous couples, a delicious meal and great music will make this a night to remember. Tickets will be sold in advance.
TopBarelas Senior Center's Annual Chili Cook off. There are three categorie: 1. Red, 2. Green, 3. Salsa. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category. Entertainment and afternoon dance to follow.

TopThe annual "A Senior Citizen I Know" essay contest is sponsored each year by the City of Albuquerque for children in grades one through five. The awards ceremony and reception is held at a senior center the second week of May to celebrate "Older Americans" month. Watch the newsletter and bulletin boards for more information.

TopSenior center volunteers are the best. Each year centers recognize their volunteers with an event to show their appreciation for the volunteer's tireless efforts, professionalism and generosity. Volunteers will be notified by their individual centers as to the date and time. Attendance is by invitation only.
