Our family
Our family of John and TePaea Newa Rapa descendants grew up at Whakaki, in the home built by Watene Hook, son of TePaea and John Hook. I am aware that it was a sight to behold in its heyday. The home is no longer there, but another has been relocated onto the property.We are descendants of John Hook and TePaea through their son Watene, and then his daughter Maraea.
Our father, son of Maraea, married Olga Smith, and between them, they have 15 children and numerous descendants... HERE
