Adam kept the reletivly small crowd going by jumping on tables and dancing all over the place. We even decided to give him a whistling solo in "Teenage Cannible" and a very long trupet solo in the middle of one of our other songs. Ian pretty much gave up about half way through the gig and changed "Hey Hey Lady" to "Hey Dead Body". And the words were pretty much centered around digging up dead bodies and making out with them.
So, for a summary of the show musicly, the band (Ian, Ed and Joe) played pretty good. They opened with "Staying Alive" which was their best one. And also played pretty good on "Teenage Cannible (In Love)" and also on "Hey Dead Body" with Joey on drums. But for entertainment wise, it's one of those things you wish you were there, but then again you wish you were never a part of it.
It would be sad to say that this was the last gig Little Joey and The Stinkers will ever do. I would've much rather have gone out with a bang than to go out with a show like this. I'm sure playing this gig, didn't help the band improve. It most likely put a scar on the bands' name, and the damage can never be undone.
C.W. Baker High School: Baldwinsville, NY
The band was really nervous for their first gig. We played Eddie's song "Good Luck", but in german. It was pretty funny. I guess the students and the teachers both liked us and we even got a chance to play some more songs for them. We played "Hey Hey Lady" and "Ana Ng". And Mr. Lerner (a teacher/guitarist) told us we should play at the Battle of the Bands.....which we did.
C.W. Baker High School: Baldwinsville, NY
Well our first "real" gig was intresting. Considering we had a dancing chicken up on stage with us, we placed third out of the ten bands. The crowd really liked us, I think. It's like one band had a few "cool" people digin their band, and another had a few punky fans liking their music, but LJS had almost everyone bobbing their heads to their music. The only bad part was "The Dancing Chicken" forgot some of the words to Secret Agent Man, and he also tripped over my bass chord and knocked the bass out for a few minutes, but other than that it was a good show. Some videos and sound clips of the show will be coming soon!
C.W. Baker High School: Baldwinsville, NY
At this show, we played on stage, while the high school students showed off their work. There were sketches, acts, some talent-showing, and about two or three bands. We were scheduled to play one fifteen minute set, and somehow we played like two or three more sets. It was a blast! The crowd liked us a lot. When we stopped playing, everyone left and when we went on again, they all came back.....it's a cool little trick we have!
Joey's House: Baldwinsville, NY
This gig went well. We had the Tim Gonya Band open for us. There was a fairly large crowd, and we seemed to get a good response at the end. Click here to see pictures of the show.
Ernest N. Casale Amphitheater: Clay, NY
Even though there were about twenty people in the crowd, this was probably our best show yet. Click here to read the article that was done about us in May of 1999. I'll scan the picture up as soon as I can. (Mike has a great one that shows the band playing with one person in the audience, it's great). I also may put up the video and sound clips of the show. Thanks to everyone who attended!
