Todays thoughts
Hey everyone,

Again, I apologize for the long break from the last update.  I have had a lot on my mind.  (My Russian final starting in half an hour being one of the largest factors.)

So the kitchen is done and all the stuff is out of my room, or so my parents tell me.  I certainly hope it is, because I want my bed back.  I am ready to leave school for a while.  I love it here, and I am sure I will, by the third week of being home, want to be back in Drew's halls.  For now, however, I look forward to good sleep, old friends, and significantly better food.

So yeah this week was my first set of finals ever.  To be honest, I think they are overhyped.  Sure they are difficult, but how are they any more difficult than a normal test?  Maybe I just happen to only be taking cumlitive classes so I am always refreshed on the old material and it is now ground into me, but it seems like people stress over them way too much.

My roommate has been absent most of the week, which I must say, has been nice.  I don't mind when he is around any more, but this is a decent sized room when its only a single and his friends arn't popping in every 5 minutes.

Well where should I start with the recap?  It's been pretty uneventful.  I found someone else who would understand and like a latin mass, now if I can convince him to go like a good Catholic, we might have something.

I found a new webcomic,
ButternutSquash.  It actually is fairly new, only a little over a year old.  It's also a member of Dayfree Press, so you know it is quality.  As always, if I could find out from yahoo how to get more pictures on the website, I would put up a banner.

I doubt I will update before Christmas and possibly even New Years, so to everyone I want to say... WHAT THE HELL IS KWANZA?!?!  I will tell you.  It was created by Ron Karenga, a founder of the United Slaves, a black segragationalist and someone who was arrested multiple times for vandalism, attempted murder, and unlawful assembly.  It was created in 1969 as a way to remind the black American community of their enslaved times so they would be more violent in the protest of racism.

My next question.  Why is the phrase Merry Christmas illegal to say in schools, but happy Kwanza is kosher?   Christmas is celebrated by a majority of people, (religious intonations or not) including blacks, it was founded in honor of a man who, by most accounts, lived an exemplary life.  The kind of person who we give congressional medals to.  Whatever, thats the left for ya.

Peace,
teh Author
