Wow I went a long time without updating my website. Here is a quick recap of the last (almost) month:
D&D went well. Eddie was ammused by my antics so I get to stay in the campaign. I also met Nicole. (Those familar with the rest of the story are the only people who I want to know the rest of that story, so it won't be put here.)
Beat Half-Life 2 over the most recent weekend. (Caution spoiler ahead!) I thought the ending sucked. It was worthy of a expansion pack, maybe, but not as the main ending for the significant character.
Thanksgiving break was awesome. I climbed every mountain at Forest Lake and ate far too much food. Unfortunatly my sleeping fears were confirmed and I found myself sleeping almost 10 hours a night. How ghastly... I ended up going home and seeing Steve, Julia, Brian, the Rolands of Reston, and the Rolands of Burke and Grandmother. Seeing as how the assorted group are my favorite people on the planet, I was exceptionally happy for the opertunity to chill.
Getting back to Drew was a chore however. I asked my friend Tim to pick me up. Ended up being his mother driving, which was fine except the airport delayed me an hour without reporting any delay at all. I wonder if that is legal. I sent her some flowers to thank her for her paitence.
The past week was pretty bad, mostly because of really bad planning. I started out the week doing alright, with full knowledge that I had a paper due for Russian Cinema due on Friday. Well it gets to be Thursday and I still havn't finished. I do get it done on time however, so that was good. The problem came when I got Half Life 2 on Friday afternoon. I couldn't stop playing it. My entire weekend was consumed by Half-Life. It is easly the greatest game I have ever played. (Oh aside, I retract my statements about how terrible these computers are. Ther are actually holding up pretty well.) But I played it all weekend, with a paper due on Monday on a book that I had only half read. I ended up pulling an all-nighter and getting it done a 6 am Monday morning.
Oh part of my bad planning included attending the Holiday Ball (sucked for me but everyone else had a good time, so I guess it was decent.) and going out to dinner with Gran and Grandad including buying my Christmas gift. All I will say is it is atleast a +5 charisma bonus.
Well the moral of the story is don't leave work till the last second, unless the professors return my papers with good marks, in which case, do indeed start my work in the last second and let the results speak for themselves.
