Don't search in
any dictionary to find a definition for the word
pwinch.
It is useless. This word means absolutely nothing. The word
was adopted a
long time ago when we were kids and we started this
strange and funny
game of non-lethal warfare: two or three teams, one
against the other,
and each teammate searching in the woods for an enemy
to bombard with
a sling shot or any other funny weapon available. In fact,
this is a variation
of the old flag game where one team try to steal the flag
of another team.
I guess every gang must have played something similar
once or twice,
maybe just a snowball fight, and that is why this simple
game might interest
you.
Pwinch Wars
happen somewhere in Duberger, Quebec city. On a hot
summer night,
the gang gathers at the park to play a game. Everyone brings
a piece of equipment
that he will use to protect himself or to fire on a
potential enemy.
Teams are made and everyone scatters in the woods,
some in small
squads, some alone. That is when the fun really begins.
It is dark, the
air is hot and moist, there are mosquitoes and black
flies everywhere
around you and you try to stay calm, waiting
for an enemy
to ambush. Suddenly, a prey is coming just in front
of you on the
trail: two enemies walking cautiously. You stretch the
rubber band of
your sling shot and fire! The bean fly into the air and hit
its target right
on the nose: "Ouch! Who's the moron..." Another shot misses
as you begin
to be nervous. Suddenly, the retaliation begins. Beans
are zipping all
around you and a huge water ball lands directly on you
when you least
expect it. Two more enemies arrive. You are surrounded.
You surrender...
This is a small
description of what Pwinch Wars can be. If you really want to
know more, read
the rules below, prepare the components and have
fun.
