The newest member of the LSS. David, call sign "Hi Power", finished building his RV-8 from a Standard kit in November 2004 with the first flight occurring December 1st.. Equipped with a 200hp Lycoming engine, the aircraft has amazing climb and high speed performance.

When not flying with the Squadron, David is currently flying Boeing 737-300, 500, 700, 800, and 900 series aircraft for a major U.S. airline based in Houston, Texas. He has an ATP license with type ratings in the ATR-42, ATR-72, Embraer EMB-135/145 regional jets and Boeing 737.

David began his flying career back in High School. Learning to flying at a small airport in League City, Texas. At the end of his senior year of high school, he took up skydiving at the same little airport. During the next 12 years David amassed over 2000 jumps and became a skydiving instructor and video cameraman. In addition to making jumps, he also became a regular staff pilot at the drop zone flying Cessna 182's and 206 and the DHC-6 Twin Otter. Working at the drop zone worked out beautifully. The time built flying skydivers lead David directly to a job flying for Continental Express Airlines and it is where he meet his wife Tammy. David and Tammy have two children (Lauren and Garrett) and currently reside in Friendswood, Texas.
