Jerry is a single and multi engine Flight Instructor who also holds an Airline
Transport license. He was the fifth member to join the team after being recruited
in Oshkosh at AirVenture 2003. This was the same year he completed the
restoration of his 32 year old Thorp T-18 and won the prestigious Founders
Award for Best Classic Home Built Restoration.

Jerry is active in the EAA Young Eagles program and also as an AOPA Instructor
Pilot with 30 years of flying experience. His first paycheck after graduating from
SLU bought his first flying lesson which was also his first airplane ride.

Jerry is a native Texan and makes his home in Houston near Ellington Field
where the Squadron starts most of their flights. He can be seen on his motorcycle
or kayaking in a bayou somewhere but mostly he's found in the hangar tinkering
with his plane or in the skies over Houston with the squadron.
