so i find out, that my sister knows jason. fine. i find out that jason is still on the streets. fine. i find out that my sister is in love with jason. not fine. i pulled jason to the side to talk to him, all the while keeping an eye on my sister. mary has a tendency to wander away. cometo find out, jason's not drunk, and he's not on the streets anymore. he's living in the same apartment building as my mom. not exactly the best place in the world,
turns out, he's only out here panhandling to get money for mary. he says that mary hangs out with him all the time when mama's not home, and that he even helps mama out too. he buys them food and stuff and takes mary out shopping. jason told me that the guys at the dojo had taken him in, and he had finally learned that he didn't need to go it alone. we all walked home together, mary in the middle of me and jason, even though you'd never have known that i was there. jason knew exaclty what we needed and he provided it, we went to Friendly's for ice cream and some dinner, jason's treat. he didn't answer any questions about how he got the money to afford, all this. he just said that it was easy. so i left it at that. it felt kinda weird being with him and all. but the day was nice and we headed back home after dinner.
