Rattle Making 17th September 2005 -

A rattle is a really versatile medicine tool. They have been used by our ancestors in ceremony and by many different peoples for working with energy and the spirit. You can use a rattle to call in spirit; move energy; cleansing, healing and much more...Our rattles will be made from materials sourced locally. Deerskin for the rattle head, filled with Dartmoor quartz and river stones; a choice of wood for the handle and decorated as you wish -some feathers, beads and paint will be available for use. Cost �35.00

Medicine bag and pouch 8th October 2005 -

Create a soft leather medicine bag with plied leather strap and hand made toggle fastening. We will journey to find the individual intent for the medicine bag -what medicine you would like it to hold. We will have the honour of working with indigenous Deerskin leather. During the day we will also makee a small pouch which can be worn around the neck of carried within your medicine bag. Cost �40.00

Drum Making Weekend 12 -13th November 2005 -

This two-day workshop is centred around the crafting of a beautiful deerskin frame drum based on a traditional design. You will be making a drum beater and a small prayer pouch to honour the spirit of your drum. We will create a power song and as we will be working with indigenous Red Deerskin for these drums we will also be honouring the Spirit of Deer. Cost �165.00
